great product, exactly as described.just note :- it holds the iphone very tight, no space for any cover, not even invisible shield like body protector.- once it is fitted to the vents, difficult to get out, so plan ahead where u want to attach it.one single simple addon needed, a small pads at the edges where it touches the iphone,, it doesn't scratch the iphone, but i just always feel it is easier to have it padded when u push the phone outside into it.very good product.
On cold mornings when you want to warm up your hands, you can't blast the heat without blasting your phone with said heat. The product is awesome for what it's set out to do. The clip/case holds the iPhone secure, but not as secure as I would like it to. So if you have one, this case will push against it, lifting it off the iPhone or creating discrepancies to the shield or it just won't seat your iPhone + Shield at all.The vent mount works excellent but you have to keep in mind that since it is "VENT" mounted, you loose that effectiveness of that vent. When you leave your car, take your phone out of the case and put it into another one if protection is one of your concerns.Overall, it does what it sets out to do but don't expect it to provide PROTECTION. I'm sure it's designed for easy access, pop in and out as you please but it's happened on several occasions that my iPhone would drop from my pants since the clip doesn't provide enough grip to my pants.
If your vent is angled a little awkwardly, your not going to get a very good angle of your phone. A vent-based mount for your iPhone. Same thing goes for AC.Also keep in mind the angle and placement of your vent. Resulting in the phone dropping to the floor, and the phone popping out of the case and skidding across the concrete floor.YOU CANNOT use many of those clear sheets to protect your phone with this case. It is perfectly molded to seat the iPhone, not it's protection as well. You also want a place where you can easily access your phone while driving.If anything, I recommend to just mount this onto your vent and leave the detachable case on it.
I have the invisible shield by Zagg and my phone no longer fits in this product, so I have to replace it.PROS:- Functional- Easy to use- Access to all your inputs (Aux/Headphones, Charger, etc)CONS:- Offers no protection- The belt clip is VERY loose- Can't use full body clear shields
The metal tension device then needs to be repositioned to get the clip to close again. The holster is a handy feature, but the holster clip has some quirks.
It clipped into my AC vents pretty easily, and holds the phone securely. Although I don't use the rotating feature, I can see how it would be useful for watching videos (not while driving).
I have used this vent mount for the past two months with my iPhone 3G. I filed down the sharp edges on all the claws, and now everything is fine.2.
and Coverflow.A few points that could be improved upon:1. The plastic "claw" edges that hold the iPhone are quite sharp, and mine had some fine plastic remnants on them that made very faint scratches on the iPhone case.
It does not clip very tightly, and if you push too hard on the clip to open it, the clip can lock in the open position. It's a pretty minor annoyance overall, but happens about once a week to me.Overall, the product holds the phone securely in the car, and if you can live with a few inconveniences, I would recommend it.
I have dropped my iPhone once already from it slipping off my belt when I moved fast. The part I'm not so happy with is the belt clip.
I've had it about a month. The kickstand works very well.
So far this product is working out very well. I'm happy that a portion of the mount stays on the vent and all I need to do is take it off my belt and carefully slide it onto the mount attached to the vent.
I can set it on my desk in either the portrait or landscape configuration and that allows me full use of the iPhone. The vent mount works great while I am driving.
It doesn't clip onto my belt very securely. The four feet that grip the iPhone are ok but I can see that eventually they will become so weak I will not feel my iPhone is securely fastened enough and I'll have to replace the ventmount.
Very good product. Works as advertised. Easy to install, and provides a stable, secure mount for the iPhone. Makes using the iPhone in the car a joy.Would have given it 5 stars if it was a little less expensive.
